Much College News going Around Lebanon High School

This past weeks there has been an interesting news for Lebanon Athletics. There has been multiple signings and a few decisions being made. To start it off we will start with the Lady Jacket Volleyball team. Standout Volleyball player Mckenzie Wade has made her decison to play her next four years at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. After a season that had been a little shortened due to a wrist problem for Mckenzie Wade she decide a while back that should would not want to play at any school other than Evangel. It was made official the other day as she signed her papers in the Librarary of Lebanon High School with her parents, high school coach, and new Crusader coach right beside her. The Lebanon Volleyball Coach Brittni Aliison could not have been any happier with Mckenzie's decison because she had happened to play for Evangel just a few years ago.
All the rest of the college commitments now are for football. First we will start off with the Yellowjackets' outstanding Linebacker, Shawn Dalangin. This past Saturday he took a visit to Avilla University, and NAIA school in Kansas City, and committed to become an eagle for his next four years. Shawn Dalangin was a great asset to the Lebanon Football program when he was in. Unfortunately, he had to start the season from the sideline cheering on his team. He had still been recovering from an ACL tear that he had suffered the previous wrestling season. When Shawn Dalangin got back into the defensive lineup he did not skip a beat. For many games he was the leading tackler for the Yellowjackets. What he will be most to the Avilla Eagles is hard work, dedication, and a great knowledge of the game.
One other Person to also committ from the Lebanon Football program is, kicker, Andre Smith. Andre will be spending another 4 years playing the game of football in an Evangel Crusaders jersey. He committed tonight, Monday, to Evangel while on the phone with head coach Brent Illum. Andre had had his heart set on Evangel for quite a while and was very thrilled to be able to continue his career there with those players and coaches. For the Yellowjackets Smith was actually just playing in his first complete season. He started halfway through his junior year and then took over as starter his senior year.
The last committment to talk about now is Tyler Couch. Tyler Couch had recently signed with the Evangel Crusaders but has found a new home. Couch, a standout lineman for the Yellowjackets, went on a visit to Southeast Missouri State University, SEMO, this past weekend and has decided he would rather take his talents to become a Redhawk. SEMO is a D-1AA school in Warrensbug, Missouri. This move will make Tyler Couch the only Lebanon fall athelete to become a D-1 player in college for the class of 2013. When asked why he chose SEMO over Evangel he said "For more oppurtunities, and to play D-1 on scholarships."
These are just the latest news for Lebanon College decisions. Lebanon has also put these players to the next level Brock West, Evangel, Hayden Brackett, Evangel, Jeff Plake, Missouri S&T, and Aren Martin, Pittsburgh State.
