Hurricane Isaac can't stop Lebanon vs. Waynesville


After much talk and many attempts to move the game of Lebanon vs. Waynesville to a much dryer thursday the game stayed on scheduled time on Friday night. Lebanon had a great night of football to start off the years to come on the new turf field. The Yellowjackets won this game 40-7 against the Waynesville tigers with a halftime score of 33-0. Brock West and the rest of the Lebanon rushing attack had a great night. The team had 386 total yards of offense all coming from the rushing attack. Brock West lead the rushing with 209 yards on 17 carries and 4 touchdowns all in the first half he did not play in the 2nd half. Sophomore Elza Evans finishes with 9 carries for 134 yards and a touchdown. Senior Devante Chew had a few yards and so did QB Hayden Brackett (1 touchdown). Brackett also attempted 1 pass that was incomplete to Senior TE J.T Dorris. On the Defensive side of the Ball the Yellowjackets held the Tigers' offense to 172 yards. Many players stepped up for the Jackets' defense but Junior Austin Knight stood out the most. Austin Knight had many tackles and also had two interceptions. The Lebanon Football team starts back up on Monday morning preparing for their game against the Camdenton Lakers. That game will be a huge game for these teams. Lebanon looks to make it 5 years in a row of beating their bitter rivals of Camdenton and now there is a new rivalry trophy that goes home with the winning team.

Lebanon vs Rolla

Lebanon vs Rolla Coin Toss

Lebanon Football defeats Rolla 28-12

Tonight the Lebanon Football team kicked off their season against the Rolla Bulldogs. The Lebanon football team had a lot of things working for them in this game. On defense Lebanon had a lot of big plays including 2 interceptions from Dylan Bradshaw, and Austin Knight. Tackles were lead by Austin Evans with 12. They also had many decisive plays to end drives and recovered a fumble in the end zone in the second quarter to keep the score in favor of Lebanon. The yellowjackets held the bulldogs to only 240 yards. On the offensive side of the ball the jackets had a great night. On the ground the jackets rushed for 258 yards. Brock West lead the rushing attack with 184 yards, and then followed by QB Hayden Brackett with 47 Yards. Elza Evans and Adam Nuel also got a few rushing yards as well. Hayden Brackett also threw 8-10 passing for 84 yards. Overall that puts the Yellowjackets at 342 yards for the game. The Yellowjackets are excited after the win and will look to use that momentum to go into their week two game against Waynesville at home. They look forward to breaking in that new turf at Jacket Stadium.

Overall: The girls really played well in doubles and that gave us a lot of momentum going into singles. Brenna and Leslie each earned their first varsity wins. Brenna teamed up with Jordan and played very well in doubles.Hannah and Nashe were just as dominant in doubles. Britten sealed the win with an 8-6 win in singles. It was a good win and it should give us some momentum heading into Fridays Southwest Missouri Invitational.

LHS Ladies Golf

today the Lebanon Lady Jacket Golf team went to Camdenton to compete in a match against Camdenton, and Helias at Lake Valley Golf Course. The team was lead by Junior Pavin Jackson with a score of 42 (2nd place). The rest of the girls were not far behind Tori Howe shot a 46 (3rd place), Taylor Schoonover shot a 55, Renee Hudson shot a 52, and Audrey Palmer shot a 58. This was the first of many competitions for the Lady Jackets. The Jacket Golf Team's next competition is a Tournament on Monday at Marshfield.

Softball vs. Norwood

The Lady Jackets Softball team had no problem forgetting about the game they played last night against Ozark. Tonight Pitcher Breanna Brown and the Yellowjackets faced up agianst Norwood and turned the tables. They Yellowjackets beat Norwood 15-0. This night was a huge night for the Lady Jackets with having little to no errors in the field and a shut out. They did not slow down on batting either. In the third inning they had to use the run rule to end the inning. The Lady Jackets looked like a new team out on the field. Tonight may not have been the actual start of the season but the way the girls look at it they are just beginning.

Lebanon Softball

Tonight the Lebanon Lady Yellowjackets softball team started off all fall sports by having a home game against Ozark. Breanna Brown's pitching was just not enough tonight against the Lady tigers with the Yellowjackets losing with a score of 12-0. The Lady Jackets were hurting a little tonight on both sides but mostly on the hitting. The Yellowjackets look to redeem themselves tomorrow at 4:30 against Norwood.

Jamboree At Parkway West

The Yellowjackets tonight kicked off at Parkway West in St. Louis to start off the season. While going 2-0-1 they started off in a very close scrimmage with Westminster. Lebanon ended up on top with a low score of 1-0. Then the Yellowjackets went up against Parkway West and the high powered offense of Lebanon helped the shut down defense win the game 4-0. After that they ended the night with the St. Charles Warriors. They tied that game 1-1 while getting many players, JV and Varsity, quality playing time. The Yellowjacket players start back up on Monday preparing for week one At Rolla.
